02:40 pm: 43 things
I have recently come across an interesting website, 43 things, where, upon opening an account, you can put down 43 things that you want to do in your life and then share your progress with other people with similar dreams. It is like a blog, actually. Now they are collecting resolutions for 2007. Want to know what the most popular resolution is? It is "Read 50 books in 2007"! How do you like it.

Well, if you find the website interesting, just go forward and think of your 43 things..! Anyway, how can we use this website in our work? A question to think about.. :)

Hi, dear Alex!

Thanx for an idea of visiting such a site! To my mind it's great to communicate with people with similar dreams :)

Well, concening the usage of it in our work, there is be a number of things we can do:
- we can simply practice writing new year resolutions with our students in class or give it as a home assignment;
- we can ask them to visit the site, write their resolutions, then find a person (preferably - a native speaker) and talk to him about your mutual resolutions, discussing the ways of achieving your goals;
- the reports of the student's site-activity can be placed in his or her blog;
- students may also carry out statistics analysis on how many mutual interest can be found, what's the most popular, what's the lease popular, etc...

Best wishes,
Alena.
