Dear Alexey,
On behalf of Group 2 I publish the title and the audience description of our Project.
Sincerely yours,
Rada.
Nowadays it is commonly accepted that for any specialist to know a foreign language well it is of vital importance together with developing the communicative competence to acquire a certain level of intercultural competence.
The successful interpretation of a language depends upon the degree to which the interlocutors belonging to different cultures share conventions and procedures as well as values and beliefs which lie behind them. Such conventions are known to be elements of cultural knowledge and appear crucial for productive cross-cultural communication.
That`s why our Group 2 has decided to work out a Project named “Developing Intercultural Competence Through Online Communication” which is targeted at 1st and 2nd year students of different specialties and the main aim of which is not only to help students to acquire intercultural competence but to get them to know different Internet tools that might be very useful in their studies.

"Digging Deeper in Great Britain"
Description:
On behalf of our Group #4 I am publishing the title and the target audience of our project.
We believe that while studying any foreign language, it is important to learn not only the rules of its organization, but also the country where this particular language is spoken. Knowing more about the people, their traditions, customs, way of life, interests, mentality can help substantially in developing language skills.
This project is aimed at developing students’ skills and abilities to communicate with representatives of other cultures, search for historic and cultural information, select the necessary information, arrange and present it in the proper way. It also develops students’ creativity via the final task of arranging presentations.
Target audience:
Students of the senior classes in specialized schools; British Studies of I or II year students.
Sincerely,
yours Alena Pavlova.
